Bereavement / Loss

In everyday life we do not talk much about pain or death. We avoid the discomfort. This can leave the person feeling doubly bereaved. Bereavement & loss are deeply distressing although inevitable. Sooner or later we will all suffer the death of someone we love.

Grieving takes place after any sort of loss such as divorce, end of a relationship, illness, redundancy, loss of a limb, disability, but most powerfully after the death of someone we love.

Mourning is not just about one feeling, but a whole succession of feelings & memories. This takes time to get through & should not be hurried.

However at Insight Psychotherapy Centre it is possible to talk through the overwhelming feelings that accompany loss & bereavement.
